Couldn,t resist commenting on this. I recently won a nose art competition and the prize involved visiting an aviation museum. I loved it and I was so awe struck by the bravery of these men. You've got to remember even if they were wrong in their ideas, the young men flying these planes were only fighting for there country just like we were. It's not racist it's history-wrong or right alot of young brave men died in these planes and we should remember them for that not just the stupid ideas of a hypocritical, short, black haired man. Just don't comment if your that offended by this image just shut your curtains and stay in your house cos there's alot worse out there.

fuck now i gotta go shave my head and get some suspenders! What an ass! I am getting sick of the God damned PC Police! Cant paint a swastika...Cant say retarded!...Cant say you dislike the current President because it will mean your racist! Take away the score in kids games so everyone wins! But then they will let their 9 year olds play games like modern warfare and black ops!. Quit being retarded and wake the fuck up people!. If you only paint and write about the good things that happened in history then everyone will wonder why the fuck we bombed the crap out of Europe and Japan! Awesom Job Rollie!..now im racist for saying that!

the narrow minded and the uneducated are usually the first to get offended.

Anyone that gets offended by a swastika used in a historical context like this needs to un wedge their panties from the crack of their ass... Look forward to seeing more of the killer nose art you do Rollie, it's all great. Axis and allies alike.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to be offended ....but Chris is right, are we supposed to pretend it didn't happen , or maybe don't let them ever forget so it doesn't happen again....you think I'm endorsing Nazism ???...reproducing history maybe ...so if someone spends a couple of million restoring a real ME 109, they shouldn't be allowed to paint it accurately??...

I think if we bury the past and forget, it will repeat itself and teaching/learning about history good or bad will enlighten future generations.. I had family on both sides are they all turning in their graves!

there are limits to the art, using the Nazi symbol into what is provocation or when you endorsed Nazism. Although initially the swastika represents something else, it is still associated with Nazism and those who say that their grandfather also fought in aviation the poor must be turning in their graves.

Nice one Rollie, love the nose art pieces you do. I have a bit of aviation blood in my family, my grampa on my moms side built Mosquito fighter bombers at De Havilland. On my Dad's sides I had a cousin that flew Me109's, he was shot down just before the end of ww2 and was killed.

I make them out of 2 pieces of aluminum , rivets are pop rivets with the heads puttied, then blow the edge with a torch after they're painted.

Short of Hitler's mustache, that woulda been one helluva top shelf souvenir back then! Is that all a flat surface? Including the bullet hole? Friggin incredible job Rollie and I also dig the uses of your pops' old set of stencils! Looks like the real deal!
