Eric Malicoat
I was born Eric Malicoat, but my friends call me Rik. I grew up in a sign shop and used one shot as my first fingerpaint. I was lucky enough to grow up seeing work from some of the best stripers in the country. Here and at meets, I still feel like a kid among giants, but I figure we all start in the shadows of those come before us. I have a love for the best of the old ways and embracing the new. My work probably shows it as my panels vary widely in style, materials and quality as each is an opportunity to try something new out. I’m still learning and hop to continue til my last breath.
Many of you knew my father, Harry Malicoat. He was a pretty good striper and the standard I grew up being held to. I miss him but do the best I can. Life is short so I’m havin fun while I can. |
