i gotta butt in on an old topic i guess. wish i HAD those fresh kafkas #3 and 5. i have bobbo and used it twice..... purplemyth, where are you!

Also there is a trade off with the length of the hair in the brush, Shorter length will give you more control but will hold less paint. The other is the opposite.

That's true Jack, I get along just fine with the long handled jenson swirlys.

This is why there are so many brushes, what works for one of us is not the answer for everyone, it has a lot to do with your individual ability & eye motor control along with a lot of other things. I have used a long handle striping brush for years cause it felt more like a quill, but to each his own.

I have no problem with this handle, I'm used to the bobbos. Works just fine for me. Might try adding one of those slide on pencil holders?

I've told Steve that all the handles should be longer. Then we could trim them to fit . To short for working overhand .

I do love me some Kafka brushes.

guys, I like Steve's other bruushes, but last year when I wa just getting into the scrolls, everyone insisted I go with his, I got them to work but the hairs are so long, as seen above. I have small hands, and short fingers, my bracing style is hand over hand. I couldn't get far enough away to make a thin line, tip work. So not only me but several others were heard. I tried it out today, just doodled a quick design, I like it, but I like the big bobbo too, so they will work together for the style I have blended. Just remember, the more tools you have, the more you can do :) Pics will be coming later and I will mark what is done with what brush.

I hear ya, the only reason I asked is all the guys I know have bobbo's for the most part.

I wonder if the popularity of the Bobbo made Kafka make a shorter version?
