Gidget
The first time I saw some lines up close, I felt like I was really seeing something incomparable for the first time. I am very new to pinstriping. I began to take learning seriously sometime in 2010, but have been an avid admirer for years. I live in Perth, Western Australia, where there are less than a handful of pinstripers. It's commonly referred to as the 'most isolated city in the world' and for striping at least, that's a fair call. When I first began looking to buy 1 Shot and brushes, every auto shop I visited - with the exception of only one - would laugh and point me toward the vinyl tape. I joined the Pinhead Lounge for any constructive criticism and advice, but mostly for the inspiration as this is the place that keeps me practicing when I feel I've hit a dead end. I'm not very good, but that said, I enjoy it too much to stop. I don't call myself a pinstriper as I currently haven't earnt the right to that title, but I'm getting better with each passing week. I'm a goner for whatever this thing is - if there's one thing I do know, it's that it sure gets under your skin and sticks. |
