"Political Correctness:A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous liberal mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possibly to pick up a turd by the CLEAN end."
Art has been my whole life;though mostly as a ,"side line"(pun intended).
Started pinstriping with a Grumbacher 1010 and Red Devil paints after seeing an article in R&C about Donn Varner.Practiced on virtually everything until landing my first(non-paying of course)job on a 1950 Mercury belonging to a neighbor in 1957.
Painted a lot until joining the Navy in 1964 where I kept busy in my off-time painting squadron plaques and shipmates' cars.
After the service, worked at various body and race car shops until settling into a job with a Mercedes-Benz dealership.Painted for many dealers in the Boston area.
Moved to Southeast Michigan in 1993 to marry the girl I fell in love with in 1966 where I currently reside.
Diagnosed with cancer in 2001,I made it through with the help of a lot of people and more.
Officially retired 2 years ago,I remain very busy painting all manner of things.
Am currently working on a couple of books(one is non-paint related)when I can find time.
My philosophy has been to try an impart all that I have learned over the years to our upcoming generation. When I was starting out,no one wanted to talk about their work;apparently afraid of losing business or something.I resolved early on to never be that way.
