DEAN (DINO) LAWRENCE......... Dino started painting in the 60's,hitch-hiking to local Dover Drag Strip in Wingdale,N.Y.,paint kit in hand. He'd go from car to car in the pits, pinstriping and lettering, before he even had a drivers license.Even though he grew up in Westchester County, New York, his passion was getting the latest Hot rod magizines and following the west coast trends by his mentors, Kelly, Roth, Jefferies, Nat Quick and all the trend setters in lettering and airbrush. After a stint in NYCs School of Visual Arts, he operated a sign & graphics shop in Danbury,Ct.for 13 years. Racers got sparce,even though he promoted his own 50's style cruise night and numerous car shows. So in 1993 he and his wife Christine relocated in Rockingham,N.C. to open Carolina Signworks.
