Mike, another trick you can try if you want to clear with urethane, just add a little all purpose hardner to your paletting thinner can,(not to paint) everytime you dip brush to palette, it gets mixed in with paint, let set overnight & clear,I've heard that some stripers even clear while one shot is still wet, scarey ! if you aren't sure about minwax clear just do catalized method & guaranteed no probs.

Mike, Re Minwax: This job is the first I've used it on, seems good, lays down nice, dry time is slow to touch, at least an hr. I waited overnight to appl. over leaf work, approx 4 coats, waiting an hr. in between, now that I've done it, I like it better than brushing one shot clear over leaf, when job is done, I'll add more coats over everything, it doesn't seem to attack one shot.Hope this helps !

Love all your work!! Can I ask, how long are you waiting to spray with the minwax poly?? I have used rattle can clear over 1shot in the past, but I wait a weel or more then spray very light coats a couple times before going heavy... i'm afraid of damaging any work by trying it any sooner....thanks!
